Centre 360 · Visitor Guidelines
Prohibited items
For the safety and comfort of all visitors, certain items are not permitted inside the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building or during the Centre 360 experience.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to
- ALL weapons, including but not limited to firearms, ammunition, BB guns, compressed air guns, pellet guns, realistic replicas of firearms, gun powder, firearm parts, starter pistols, flare guns, knives, box cutters, razor blades, tasers, stun guns, shocking devices, slingshots, shuriken, throwing stars, metal knuckles, chuka sticks, handcuffs and handcuff keys, work tools such as hammers and screwdrivers, scissors, swords, sabers, batons, billy clubs, blackjacks, nightsticks, nunchucks, “dual-use” items or any other item that, in the discretion of security, may be considered to be dangerous items.
- Aerosol sprays, mace, self-defensive sprays designed to protect against dogs and other animals, and other self-defense sprays including “oleoresin capsicum” (OC) pepper spray.
- Chemicals such as chlorine, liquid bleach, turpentine, paint thinner, flammable liquids, fuels, gasoline, lighter fluid or similar items, as well as any other hazardous materials of any kind.
- Unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), drones, and other similar remote-controlled devices or vehicles.
- Flags, posters, banners, and other similar items exceeding three feet in length by three feet in width.
- All balloons and kites.
- Photography kits or production tools including but not limited to tripods, unipods, camera supports, rigs, mounting systems, lighting equipment, unless part of an approved permitted activity.
- Illegal drugs/narcotics and other controlled substances whose use is strictly prohibited by government regulation and open containers of alcoholic beverages, including flasks.
- Explosives, fireworks, firecrackers, blasting caps, dynamite, hand grenades, realistic replicas of explosives/grenades, gas canisters, compressed gases, and other potentially dangerous items which can cause bodily harm to visitors, staff or property.
- Personal-use recreational wheeled devices and sporting goods equipment such as bicycles, electronic bicycles (e-bikes), skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, ice skates, motorized skateboards, self-balancing scooters, golf clubs, baseball bats, hockey sticks, pool cues, ski poles, spear guns, bows and arrows, cricket bats, lacrosse sticks, water guns, and similar items.
- Rope, climbing equipment, harnesses, wire of any kind, or any device used to attach or hang posters onto any structure.
