Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before completing your reservation.

Tickets

All reservations are final. Reservations are not for exchange, sale, resale or transfer. Lost reservations or tickets will not be replaced. Names given at the time of reservation cannot be changed. The City of New York, nor any of its agencies, are not responsible for tickets obtained from unauthorized sources which may not be valid. A current photo ID matching the information of the individual who made the reservation is required to pick up tickets. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Centre 360 visitors are required to make reservations online in advance.

The Centre 360 experience is free for all visitors. Due to limited availability, reservations are required to visit Centre 360.

Warning: The nyc.gov/centre360 website is the only service authorized by the City of New York to make reservations for Centre 360. Please be advised that there are no authorized third-party reservation services or resellers.

The Building

By entering the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building (the Building), visitors agree to abide by all rules and policies relating to conduct and behavior in the Building. All visitors and their belongings are subject to search. Restricted and dangerous articles may not be brought into the Building. If you make a reservation, you consent to having your image or likeness appear in any live or recorded video or other transmission or reproduction. The City of New York and its agencies reserve the right to refuse service or remove visitors from the premises if determined to be necessary for appropriate safety reasons, if visitors cause discomfort, inconvenience, or annoyance to other visitors, building occupants, or if your behavior is deemed to threaten the safety, good order, or discipline.

The City of New York reserves the right at any time to cancel reservations or change reservation times. Submitting a reservation to Centre 360, by any means possible, indicates your agreement to these terms and conditions. Warnings: The reservation holder assumes all risk of danger and injury. By accepting admission to the Building, including its cupola, you agree to release the City of New York for any loss, injury or damage to you or your property that might occur in the building, even if the loss, injury or damage is caused by neglect or fault of the City of New York. No suit, action, or proceeding against the City of New York, its agencies, or its contractors, agents, or employees of any of the foregoing entities, shall be maintainable for loss of life or bodily injury to any visitor unless written notice of claim be delivered to the Office of the New York City Comptroller within 90 days from the date of incident. Any and all claims asserted by or against the City of New York arising under or related to the reservation or Centre 360 visit shall solely be heard and determined either in the courts of the United States located in the City of New York or in the courts of the State located in the City and County of New York. The parties shall consent to the dismissal and/or transfer of any claims asserted in any other venue or forum to the proper venue or forum.

The Experience

For all those reserving Centre 360 access tickets, disclaimer restrictions will include: checking in using the digital QR code associated with their reservation at the CityStore located at: 1 Centre St, North Plaza, New York, NY 10007. Centre 360 visit reservations may not be redeemed prior or after the date and time indicated by the reservation. The reservation is non-transferable. Your reservation assigns you to a scheduled reservation, and the start time will be included in your confirmation email. If you miss your scheduled reservation, you may be able to make another reservation for a slot that is available.

Visitors must stay with their assigned escort from the DCAS Police at all times. Unauthorized entry of areas off the guided path will be considered trespassing, and violators may be subject to arrest and prosecution. Centre 360 is not temperature controlled. Centre 360 can be higher or lower than interior temperatures. Visitors must be properly dressed for weather conditions in Lower Manhattan on the day of their reservation, which may include snow, rain, wind, or ice. Centre 360 tickets will be cancelled under adverse conditions, including but limited to extreme weather or any other hazardous conditions. The City of New York reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time for weather, safety, hazardous conditions or any other reason. The City of New York may close Centre 360 for the entire or a portion of the day, requiring the cancelation of reservations. Canceled reservations are not required to be rescheduled by the City of New York.

The City of New York recommends that Centre 360 visitors, for their safety:

  • Wear comfortable attire.
  • Children under the age of 18 years of age must be at least 42″ in height; and cannot be carried and must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Be without any significant conditions that could impede their ability to remain on their feet for up to one hour or cause discomfort in elevated spaces, including but not limited to: Heart conditions, respiratory conditions, mobility impairment, claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces), acrophobia (fear of heights), vertigo (dizziness).
  • Be able to independently ascend and descend one 6-inch step and navigate through a doorway with a clear opening width of 32-inches.

In the event that the elevators used to access Centre 360 are non-operational, visit reservations will be cancelled. Impacted reservations are not required to be rescheduled by the City of New York.

While in the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building, Centre 360 visitors will be under video surveillance at all times within the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building. The City of New York and its agencies are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. Bags, luggage, and other containers larger than 13″ × 19″ are not permitted. Visitors must exercise care to avoid all hazards. Photography is allowed, so long as it does not cause unreasonable delays to the visit and at the DCAS escort’s discretion. Additional camera gear including but not limited to tripods, unipods, drones, and additional lighting is not permitted.

What to Expect

At the time of their reservation, visitors will check in at the CityStore located at 1 Centre Street, North Plaza New York, NY 10007. The individual who made the reservation must be present and show a valid photo ID that matches the name on the reservation and date of birth. After check-in, visitors will be escorted from the CityStore into the north lobby of the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building and participate in a brief security screening. Visitors are permitted to bring bags measuring no more than 19 inches tall × 13 inches wide × 9 inches deep to allow for ease and maneuverability during the Centre 360 experience. All bags must be able to fit through an X-ray machine opening (approximate opening size: 17 inches wide × 24 inches high).

Next, visitors will be escorted from the lobby to the 24th floor using the building’s north elevators. From there, visitors will continue their ascent using the central tower elevator, which will bring visitors from the 24th floor to the cupola vestibule on the 36th floor. The cupola vestibule measures approximately 74 inches × 65 inches. Access to Centre 360 is through a doorway with a clear opening of 32 inches. Visitors will descend one 6-inch step to access the cupola walkway.

Centre 360 visits will last up to 15 minutes. Upon conclusion of their reservation, visitors will ascend the 6-inch step to reenter the vestibule to access the central tower elevator that will take visitors back to the 24th floor. Visitors will continue their descent using the north elevators back to the lobby. Finally, visitors will be escorted back to the CityStore to conclude their visit.

Visitors should expect to be on their feet for approximately one hour. All visitors must be able to independently ascend and descend one 6-inch step and navigate through a doorway with a clear opening width of 32 inches. The door swings inward into the vestibule, which reduces available maneuverable space when the door is open. Please read and carefully consider the following information and guidelines to assess if you will be able to undertake the visit.

The City of New York recommends that Centre 360 visitors have no significant conditions that could impede their ability to remain on their feet for up to one hour or cause discomfort in elevated spaces, such as (but not limited to):

  • Heart conditions
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Mobility limitations
  • Claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces)
  • Acrophobia (fear of heights)
  • Vertigo (dizziness)
